Foreign Office said heckling of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at the Washington airport.
The Foreign Office said on Friday that US officials were aware of the situation involving the heckling of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at the Washington airport.
The minister had been in the US to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank when a man threw insults at Dar at the Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC, the day before.
The US authorities have reportedly taken notice of the inappropriate behavior with the finance minister at the airport, according to FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmed. He also remembered how the Saudi government brought up the incident when some visitors targeted the official delegation. On Thursday, a video that showed a guy abusing and mistreating the finance minister went viral. Dar's companion, Imran Mani Butt, however, answered, and the guy then appeared to have stopped.
Imran accused the PTI of sending its employees to the airport to harass Dar in a video posted on Twitter. "At any costs, we will not put up with this. How you [PTI] degrade people and create films only to become viral is no longer acceptable "In the video message, he stated.
Butt said, "You need to stop yourself and stop speaking slanderously about any guest representing Pakistan or coming from Pakistan.
