Man who threatened Maryam Nawaz with death is detained by the FIA

On Thursday, a man was detained by the Federal Investigation Agency's cybercrime unit for threatening to kill PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

Kill Maryam during:

The individual had threatened to kill Maryam during the NA 108 seat of Faisalabad-VIII election campaign, according to the corruption watchdog's cybercrime division.

Custody:

The cybercrime wing added that the suspect had a complaint filed against him as soon as the issue came to light, and that he was today taken into custody at his residence in Faisalabad's Sitara Colony.

Imran Khan, the former prime minister and leader of the PTI, won the NA-108 Faisalabad-VIII by-election on October 16 by a lopsided 24,471 vote majority.

According to unofficial results, Khan received 99,602 votes, while Sher Ali of the PML-N received 75,131.
