Shaheen Afridi expressed:
Pakistan's fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi expressed happiness to be back in action in Australia.
(ICC):
Speaking with the International Cricket Council on Monday, Afridi stated, "Feeling amazing to be back on the field after two months."
T20 World Cup:
The bowler made his highly anticipated return to the team when he travelled to Australia to compete in the massive T20 World Cup. Afridi underwent a demanding rehabilitation programme while spending weeks in England getting treatment for a ligament injury to his right knee that occurred in the first Test match against Sri Lanka in July.
He is also a member of the group that will face England today in a pre-tournament match.
"I got hurt for the first time, so it was difficult staying away from the squad," the speedster reflected on his time away from the club when he was injured.
Excitement:
Afridi continued, saying that despite missing the most recent series against New Zealand and England, all he had been thinking about throughout his absence was "returning" to the squad. He also expressed his excitement for the World Cup.
The quick bowler remarked, "I missed the series in New Zealand and England, but I'm now really enthusiastic.
