Unhappy Prime Minister Shehbaz declines to introduce the Digital Flood Network

  1. The launch of the digital dashboard is scheduled for Monday.
  2. PM points out faults in design, pushes for additional improvements.
  3. "We should create a dashboard that the entire country can be satisfied of."

ISLAMABAD: The real-time dashboard for flood victims was not launched on Monday because Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was unhappy with its performance. The prime minister was supposed to launch a dashboard for tracking flood victims' help in real time in Islamabad, but he declined to do so because he wasn't happy with the dashboard's functioning.

Flood relief digital dashboard:

In order to strengthen the flood relief digital dashboard and add more necessary features, PM Shehbaz gave the go-ahead. He thought that a dashboard that met international standards would ensure greater institutional coordination and boost the country's credibility.
The prime minister gave instructions to add more capabilities, such as the weather warning and others, to make it a "world-class" platform with all necessary information during a briefing on the dashboard being constructed to offer real-time information regarding flood relief help and its utilization.

The prime minister:

The prime minister, who will formally open the facility on Monday when it has been updated, stated, "We should construct a dashboard of which the entire nation should feel very proud."
When he was Punjab's chief minister, the government created a dashboard to track the dengue outbreak, which the prime minister claimed gained international acclaim since it included all the necessary data, including hotspots and available services.

Relief and rehabilitation:

He outlined the design's flaws and advocated for more advancements so that it could fulfil the demands of the country and accurately represent the government's coordinated efforts to provide relief and rehabilitation for the flood-affected population. The flood relief dashboard, according to PM Shehbaz, must include all pertinent details on each item, including the origin and destination of relief supplies like blankets and baby food. According to him, the government would offer all necessary assistance for the creation of the dashboard, which should be a long-lasting facility rather than a temporary arrangement.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal:

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal underlined the need of becoming ready for coping with the negative effects of climate change during his speech before the PM.According to the minister, the dashboard that is being created will assist us in managing any upcoming disasters through an effective coordination system.
